Victoria Porkay, a German artist, grew up in an environment full of artistic input. Early on, she knew that figurative painting would be her future focus. Porkay`s works are collected nationally and internationally. At the very young age of 18, she started her career as a painter. While traveling, she discovered her interest in ‚djadjims‘, a familiar material to the better-known ‚kilim‘, made by nomads from the middle east. She found her language by combining the rough texture and richness of colors by djadjims as a paint base, mixing it within her strong, characteristic portraits. In numerous solo and group exhibitions, Porkay has proven its relevance to the art market.
